SACRAMENTO, CA āĀ Federal agents have arrested a man accused of carrying out a shocking drive-by shooting at ABC 10 in Sacramento, and what investigators discovered in his car has sent shockwaves nationwide.
The suspect, identified asĀ Anibal Hernandez-Santana, 64, was first taken into custody by local police on Sept. 19 after allegedly opening fire on the ABC affiliateās building. But just hours after he posted $200,000 bail, the FBI re-arrested him onĀ federal charges.
The Chilling Note
According to the Justice Department, agents found a handwritten note inside Hernandez-Santanaās vehicle. The message specifically mentioned top members of former President Donald Trumpās administration:Ā Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino.
The note reportedly read:Ā āFor hiding Epstein & ignoring red flags. Do not support Patel, Bongino, & AG Pam Bondi. Theyāre next. ā C.K. from above.ā
Anti-Trump Social Media Trail
Investigators also uncovered Hernandez-Santanaās online presence, which showed aĀ pattern of anti-Trump commentary. Just last week, he posted:Ā āWhere is a good heart attack when we need it the most?? Please join in my thoughts and prayers for the physical demise of our fearful leader.ā
Other posts revealed he was ready to āfight like hellā against the Trump administration. His attorney has since claimed his client is being targeted because of his outspoken political views.
Federal Response
Kash Patel confirmed on X that Hernandez-Santana remains in custody under a federal hold, calling the case a reminder thatĀ ātargeted acts of violence will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.ā
A City Already On Edge
The shooting took place just one day after protests erupted outside ABC 10, following the suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. His remarks linking Charlie Kirkās accused assassin to Trump supporters had already sparked national backlash.
