The Chicago Sky forward landed a deal with the sportswear company, which has made a comeback recently and even has a Netflix series.
Reese has close ties to Shaquille O’Neal and was bizarrely shown playing on the same team as the former NBA center. Given that he’s the President of Basketball at Reebok, we imagine it wasn’t hard for them to make a deal.
The former LSU star has declared that people will wear her shoes everywhere, suggesting that they will be as popular as Jordans.
The unisex sneaker, the Angel Reese 1, will launch in exactly a month’s time on September 18, and Reese reckons the old-school look will command a significant share of the market.
“Reebok is back,” she said in an interview with Elle. “We’re bringing back that old-school look, the old-school vibes. People are going to be wearing Reebok everywhere, just like how they wear Jordans everywhere.“

She added:
“I want people to wear the Angel Reese 1s everywhere and just to be a household name, to have no limits on what I can do and what I can accomplish.”
Angel Reese Out With Injury As She Prepares For Shoe Launch
The above is pretty ambitious from Angel, given that Michael Jordan himself could introduce another brand, and they still wouldn’t be nearly as popular as Jordans.
Meanwhile, Reese has been out of action with a back injury, and there are claims that she could be done for the season. There are also claims that she totally faked the injury as a means of quitting on her teammates.
The 23-year-old has played in 21 games for Chicago this season, averaging 14.0 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. The team hasn’t shown much improvement from last season, however, as they own the second-worst record in the WNBA and are unlikely to make the playoffs.
WNBA Star Angel Reese Makes Head-Scratching Michael Jordan Comparison While Setting Her Sights On Audacious $7 Billion Empire
When it comes to the Chicago Sky star, everything she does or says becomes a trending topic. Even former First Lady Michelle Obama had to give her opinion on the young superstar recently.
Fans and foes often argue about the WNBA player’s effectiveness on the court. What cannot be denied is that she is a constant topic of discussion.
The Chicago Sky standout announced her debut signature shoe, the Angel Reese 1. Three colorways, Diamond Dust, Receipts Ready, and Mebounds, will be available for purchase on Sept. 18.
In an interview with Elle, Reese discussed the expedited release and what her new shoe offers.
“My personality is me being unapologetically myself-that’s what the shoes are as well: unapologetic. The versatility of being able to wear the shoes on and off the court was the most important thing to me. I really wanted to have a shoe that I can wear on the court, but also in the tunnel, fits, fashion moments, events, and big things.”
Angel Reese told Kayla Webley Adler that she wants her signature shoe line to join Michael Jordan’s as one of the most popular sets of sneakers of all time.

“I want people to wear the Angel Reese 1s everywhere and just to be a household name, to have no limits on what I can do and what I can accomplish.”
That is a very bold proclamation, given that the Jordan Brand is reportedly worth around $7 billion.
Nike is a powerhouse, while Reebok, on the other hand, was sold in 2022 for $2.5 billion.
Reebok sponsors a diverse group of athletes across various sports, including basketball, football, and golf. Shaquille O’Neal is the sole reason why Reese is on Reebok.
Angel Reese Continues To Flourish Despite The Hate
Haters tried their best to take down Angel Reese and her talents for getting rebounds. She just smiled and turned “Mebounds” into a business opportunity.
The Chicago Sky forward, who has also been called out for faking injuries, continues to flourish despite hate from every corner of the globe.
The 23-year-old forward has been sidelined since July 29 with a back injury that’s kept her out of commission for much of the time since the All-Star break in mid-July.
Losing Reese, who leads the team in pointers per game (14.2), rebounds per game (12.6), and assists per game (3.7), has had her team going 1-5 without her during their recent stretch and has won just one of the 10 games Reese has missed this season.
It is clear that she is needed on the court if the Sky wants any chance of winning games.
