It Finally Happened: DOJ Cans Most Left-Wing Immigration Judge In US

Another day, another way the Trump administration is making America great again – and keeping it great.

The New York Post reported on Saturday that the Justice Department managed to fire the most prolific grantor of asylum in New York last September:

Judge Vivienne Gordon-Uruakpa was reportedly removed from her position due to her unusually high rate of approving asylum claims. According to The Post, she granted asylum in an impressive 97 percent of the cases she reviewed.

A report from TRAC Immigration in 2024 revealed that from 2019 to 2024, Gordon-Uruakpa handled 924 asylum cases and approved 806 of those claims, only turning down 88. Her approval rate starkly contrasts with the national trend, where almost 60 percent of asylum claims are denied. Even in the liberal environment of New York, her colleagues rejected 35 percent of cases, showcasing just how outrageous her record is.

During his second term, the Trump administration dismissed over 100 immigration judges, favoring those with a history of denying asylum requests. Some judges reportedly received their termination notices unexpectedly during the day, while their dockets were put on hold—a move that has been labeled by some in the liberal media as “a hostile takeover.”

Cry harder, libs. The removal of immigration judges falls well within the authority of the Department of Justice.

Meanwhile, as The Post reported, 80 percent of asylum cases are being deported by the Trump administration. Yeah, I voted for that.
