House Passes Bill To Deport Migrants Who Assault Police Officers

The bill passed with 265 votes in favor and 148 votes against, with 54 Democrats voting with the GOP. The Detain and Deport Illegal Aliens Who Assault Cops Act is what Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., is in charge of. “There is no reason that an illegal alien who attacks our law enforcement should remain in our country; that shows zero respect for our rule of law or our institutions, and they will not be positive contributors to society,” Van Drew said.

The bill says that the federal government must keep illegal immigrants in jail until they are sent back to their home countries. Van Drew says it also creates a new type of migrant inadmissibility that specifically targets illegal immigrants who are accused of attacking police.

Rep. Tom Emmer, the House Majority Whip and No. 3 Republican, said after the bill passed, “House Democrats just voted to protect violent, illegal immigrants over our brave law enforcement officers.” The Democrat Party has once again shown that they are the most anti-law enforcement party in history.

CNN’s new poll is shocking because it shows that the Democratic Party is way behind the Republicans when it comes to economic issues. This shocked CNN data expert Harry Enten.

The data analyst was shocked that the Democrats and their media allies’ attempts to scare Americans about Trump’s tariff plans had failed after months of trying.

“You would think that after all the waves, Kate Bolduan, after the last few months, the first five months of the Donald Trump presidency, right, the first four months of the Donald Trump presidency, that Democrats would have this huge lead on the economy. Not so. He told CNN anchor Kate Bolduan, “It ain’t so.”

“The party that most closely matches your economic views. The Republicans were ahead by 11 points in November 2023. The data analyst said, “It’s still in that range, still within that margin of error, and the Republican Party has an eight-point lead.”

“How is that possible, Democrats? How is that possible? The economy is still in trouble, the stock market has been doing all of this, and Americans are against all of the tariffs. He said, “Are you kidding me?”

The anchor asked, “How is that trending with other data that you’re pulling in when we look for trends?”

“Yes, if it was only this one CNN poll, that would be different. But look at Reuters/IPSOS. What do we see here? Party with a better plan for the economy. “Well, in May 2024, just before Donald Trump was re-elected president, Republicans had a nine-point lead,” Enten said.

“Look at where we are now, in May 2025.” The lead actually grew by three points. The Republicans now have a 12-point edge over the Democrats when it comes to which party has the better economic plan. And once more, this is after months of supposed economic uncertainty, during which the stock market has been going crazy and the tariff wars that Americans don’t want have been going on. Still, the Democrats are behind by 12 points when it comes to the economy. “This is the best thing I’ve ever seen that shows how bad the Democrats are doing on the economy,” said the shocked data analyst.

“The Republicans still have the upper hand on the most important issue of the day.” He said, “And that’s why Republicans aren’t out of the game yet, even though Donald Trump’s approval ratings have dropped a little. They still have a clear advantage on the economy, whether you look at CNN’s polls or the IPSOS poll right here, where they have a 12-point advantage on the economy.”

He also said that Republicans have a strong hold on the votes of middle-class people.
