President Donald Trump criticized the release of additional documents concerning the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after the U.S. Department of Justice announced that it had discovered more materials but would require several weeks to make them publicly available.

“Now 1,000,000 more pages on Epstein are found. DOJ is being forced to spend all of its time on this Democrat inspired Hoax,” Trump said Friday on social media. “When do they say NO MORE, and work on Election Fraud etc.”

He added, “The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans. Release all of their names, embarrass them, and get back to helping our Country! The Radical Left doesn’t want people talking about TRUMP & REPUBLICAN SUCCESS, only a long ago Jeffrey Epstein — Just another Witch Hunt!!!”

The president signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act into law last month, instructing the Justice Department to disclose all documents it possessed regarding Epstein. It set a deadline of December 19, but the Department of Justice has since indicated that additional time is required to thoroughly review all materials before issuing further forms.

Friday’s release failed to satisfy the lawmakers and victims who had requested the disclosure of the documents to the public. The documents were extensively redacted and omitted numerous entries that referenced Mr. Trump.

Approximately 30,000 additional pages related to the Epstein case were disclosed earlier this week following criticism of the department for failing to release all the documents by the designated deadline.

Last Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and the FBI notified the department that “a million additional documents” had been discovered, “potentially connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case.”

“We have lawyers working around the clock to review and make the legally required redactions to protect victims, and we will release the documents as soon as possible,” the department said.

The DOJ said the process may “take a few more weeks” due to the number of documents.

“The Department will continue to fully comply with federal law and President Trump’s direction to release the files,” the department wrote.

The president at first argued that the documents should not be released, but later signed the law that set everything in motion. He has repeatedly called it a hoax, saying only Democrats are involved.

President Trump also used a Christmas message posted online to revive his long-standing claims of a political witch hunt tied to Epstein, criticizing Democrats and the news media as the Justice Department acknowledged a major delay in releasing records related to the late sex offender.

“Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein, gave him bundles of money, went to his Island, attended his parties, and thought he was the greatest guy on earth, only to ‘drop him like a dog’ when things got too HOT, falsely claimed they had nothing to do with him, didn’t know him, said he was a disgusting person, and then blame, of course, President Donald J. Trump, who was actually the only one who did drop Epstein, and long before it became fashionable to do so,” Trump wrote.

He continued, “When their names get brought out in the ongoing Radical Left Witch Hunt plus one lowlife ‘Republican,’ Massie, and it is revealed that they are Democrats all, there will be a lot of explaining to do, much like there was when it was made public that the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax was a fictitious story, a total Scam, and had nothing to do with ‘TRUMP.’”

Trump also criticized the New York Times and other media outlets in the post, accusing them of inaccurate reporting and reputational harm.

“The Failing New York Times, among many others, was forced to apologize for their bad and faulty Election ‘Reporting,’ even to the point of losing many subscribers due to their highly inaccurate FAKE coverage,” Trump wrote.

“Now the same losers are at it again, only this time so many of their friends, mostly innocent, will be badly hurt and reputationally tarnished,” he added.

“But sadly, that’s the way it is in the World of Corrupt Democrat Politics,” Trump wrote. “Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas! President Donald J. Trump.”
